Dr David Robinson

Vascular & Endovascular Surgeon

Dr David Robinson is a Vascular & Endovascular Surgeon based in Sydney. Dr Robinson completed training in General Surgery at St Vincent's Hospital in Sydney, followed by training in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at Royal Melbourne, Royal Prince Alfred and Concord Hospitals. At the completion of his training he was appointed as a consultant at St Mary's Hospital, London, in the Regional Vascular Unit, a tertiary referral centre with an interest in aneurysms of the thoracic and abdominal aorta.

Since returning to Sydney he has worked as a consultant at both St Vincent's Hospital and the Central Coast prior to his current position as a VMO at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

Dr Robinson's research interests centre around cerebrovascular disease, in particular asymptomatic carotid disease. He has also published papers on aspects of both open and endovascular repair of aortic aneurysms.

  • Endovascular stent-graft treatment of Aortic Aneurysms

  • Endovascular stent-graft treatment of Thoracic Aneuryms and Dissections

  • Peripheral Vascular Disease (Angioplasty and Stent Treatment, Surgery)

  • Carotid disease and Stroke prevention

  • Venous disorders and varicose veins (injection treatments, or surgery)

  • Upper limb disorders (thrombosis, hyperhydrosis/endoscopic sympathectomy procedures)

  • Vascular diagnosis (angiography/ultrasound techniques)
